I haven't updated in a while, have I? There's this deviation I've been trying to upload but for some reason, the full-sized version has burned colors. I deleted the deviation already; I'll try to upload it from my laptop and see if there's a difference.

What's happening right now? Projects, projects, projects.

This is my favorite poem by Pablo Neruda: Ode to the Lemon

Out of lemon flowers
loosed
on the moonlight, love's
lashed and insatiable
essences,
sodden with fragrance,
the lemon tree's yellow
emerges,
the lemons
move down
from the tree's planetarium

Delicate merchandise!
The harbors are big with it-
bazaars
for the light and the
barbarous gold.
We open
the halves
of a miracle,
and a clotting of acids
brims
into the starry
divisions:
creation's
original juices,
irreducible, changeless,
alive:
so the freshness lives on
in a lemon,

Cutting the lemon

I'm dying to upload something! D: but I'm really just too busy.

And I feel like I don't have time for anything but school! D: I can't even think of anything to make, haha.

Primarily, I have been busy with CAPTURE:MAGIS, Ateneo ACOMM's annual photography competition. First prize is 7k, all entries will be exhibited in Rockwell. It's for the Sesquicentennial so Ateneans only. [link]

I'm not dead!
I just celebrated my monthsary
and turned 18
and went on a mad shopping spree in Bangkok
and I can't find my statistics textbook
and I can't find the inspiration to update
and I'm going to go eat dinner
and then I'll finish reading Brisingr.

My favourite colors are yellow and purple. And no, this is not some shabby elementary attempt at a poem. I feel random today.

Yellow is warm and illuminating.
It looks good at any time of year.
Yellow makes me happy.
Yellow is pleasant to pronounce.

Purple is sexy.
' Purple ' rolls off the tongue nicely.
Purple is my favourite color to wear.
A purple sky is prettiest.

Just sharing.

Anyway. I also like looking at photographs of redheads with golden sunlight-halos and green eyes. So pretty. And shots of really pale lanky girls in forests swathed with snow. And snapshots of Asian girls who look like the lovechildren of Vogue and Rolling Stones. I also like the ocean, reflections, and anything that highly emphasizes color.

Wow it's been a while since I updated this journal.

CHARLIE IS THE SWEETEST BOYFRIEND!

He did the following things today:
- Gave me a bouquet of roses and one of my fave candies: Sour Sticks. I made him a card and photomanipped two Absolut Vodka bottles to form Absolut KitKat and Absolut Charlie. (my latest deviation)
- Surprised me with a trip to Max Brenner in Greenbelt, (he drove from Ateneo!) which he's been promising to take me to for the longest time. We had dessert at Cafe Breton.
- Walked around with me and essentially made the day special and super fun
(I wore my 'I love my Filipino boyfriend' shirt and he wore his 'Kiss Me, I'm Filipino' shirt.)

...and to cap the day off,
- He dropped me off at home and while driving out, his front bumper caught onto the back step/bumper of a catering truck. So the front part was ripped off while the truck was undamaged. I felt bad for him because he made the effort to bring me to Makati and all and then this had to happen. It wasn't a major incident though and the owner was fine with it so he was still able to go home afterwards.

I have just had the most interesting Valentines Day ever. I still had so much fun and it's my first Valentines with someone, so I'm so glad I got to spend it with him. Thanks Charlie.
